super bowl National Anthem/GBA debauchle

Sign in to disble this ad
God Bless America turned into a joke by someone with no real talent or voice, and the Christina Aguilera destroys the National Anthem and leaves out a verse and couldn't stay in tune along with the vocal theatrics that proved without Autotune and a lot of studio help, Acapella is something she should avoid. Thoughts?

You're insane if you think Christina has no talent. But yeah she flubbed this one.

I thought the GLEE girl did a good job! Christina, on the other hand, has to live with this for the rest of her life!

All stylistics and vocal gyrations and she strayed from the melody. Now i LOVE jazz, and improvisation, but its a real no-no to end the song on a wrong note(i think she ended a major 3rd above).

I would just like to hear someone sing it in time and to the normal melody with backing music.

christina is a good singer done in by an insane need for vocal acrobatics. sing the freakin' melody! and if you can't be bothered to learn the words at the most important performance of the year, don't take the gig! i am incensed, quite honestly. carrie underwood was better last year and she sucked.

There are certain songs you do not mess with.
The National Anthem is #1.

I was trying to figure out if she knew she screwed it up. If she knew it, then it was kinda pro that she kept going like nothing happened and tried to sell the rest of the performance w/ her overdone acrobatics. If she didn't know she screwed up, she should have to do a ton of charity work to make up for a crime against her country.

Crime against her country? LOL! People have been butchering the National Anthem for ages on and off television. Who cares ? She's not on my iPod for her rendition of the Anthem so I couldn't care less. This'll be news for MAYBE a week then people will move on. The vocal riffage was completely unnecessary but I think a singer should allowed to fail every now and again, haha. Sucks for her that it was on such a big event but again, nobody will care in a week.

I wonder if she gets paid for that gig?

Also, the commentators would certainly talk about it if a fottball player made a comparable error. Why haven't they said anything about Christina? She's a pro, she can take it.

The National Anthem is definitely one of those songs you don't get all 'artsy fartsy' on. Just sing it the way it is meant to be sung.

I was in the car. The radio commentators noted it right away.

This whole 2 weeks leading up to the SuperBowl has been an epic fustercluck down there.

Messing up the Anthem could only have been expected.
