Talk about an AWESOME game. After the first 5 seconds of seeing someone play the game I felt like a kid again. The designers completely captured the essence of the classics but transferred it into a more modern engine where so many more obstacles can be thrown your way. It felt so much like the originals yet there was so much more. The layout of how you progress was very similar to Super Mario 3 and the bosses work the same way. Any developer who ever wants to remake a classic or rework it in someway should take lessons from this game because I have never seen it work until now.
Never thought I would say this but now I want a Wii. |

| | | | I actually think that this game was probably the vision which the original developers had, but couldn't completely create due to technical limitations. I have never had that feeling with any remake like this. |

It's got the feel of Super Mario World from 18 years ago, with some of the excellent features of Super Mario 3 (i.e. the layout and mushroom houses, and additional power-ups like the penguin suit (would have liked to see the return of the raccoon but this'll do) with some awesome features from Super Mario 64 like the triple jump and wall jumps.
This may just be the best side scroller I have ever played.

The wife and I have almost gotten through the Wii version but with the alternate endings to the levels and the coins you have to collect there is alot of replay value to go back to. Plus Mario is just fun over and over. Always has been. |

I'm probably getting it tomorrow.
World 3 was really hard. If this game is anything like Mario 3 where World 8 was just insane, I can't even imagine how hard this game gets. |

If you can imagine a game that perfectly captures the essence of the originals in a more modern engine, then this is it. It's the same but today's capabilities allow for the designers to throw more crazy obstacles and traps your way.
I can say without a doubt that if you like the originals you will like this. This is basically Super Mario 3 with upgraded graphics, alot more content, and that is very challenging. |

The last video game I liked was Nintendo 64 with California Speed car racing, and Duck Dodgers.

im now workin on collecting all the big coins in all the levels...
the levels are harder than the bosses though... some are pretty tricky... i cant imagine playing this game as a kid like the original... some stuff is tough!
i finally broke down and got a wii a few weeks ago since I was looking for some fun gaming I didnt have to think so hard with... unlike most of the games on my PS3! |

This is definitely on my list of want. For those of us raised on Mario (I lost interest after SMB3) This is probably a must have.
I thought Super Paper Mario Wii was fun,...maybe a little too brain involved.
I wound up getting my wife Raymond Raving Rabbids TV Party because she had played it before and loved it so I new it was a sure thing; that and it was only 20 bucks (no I didn't just get her a video game for X-Mas).
I also want that Sports Resort game. |

| | | | Excellent game but I hold the controller differently as I did when I played the DS Super Mario Bros. so it'll take some time getting used to. I grew up on Super Mario 64 as opposed to the earlier ones. |

Cr@p... now I'm hooked! I never thought I'd be interested in a Wii and now I can't ignore it...put it out of my mind. Here I am obsessing about another piece of electronica... I am so weak. :| |

I am not a gamer, but we spent a few hours playing it and it was so much fun. The developers did an excellent job with this game. Back in the days of the original Gameboy and Gameboy color I had a few Mario games, and this one seems like the perfect extension of the originals. Very cool. |

i just found the wii shop where they have all the classic mario's to download. I love that series...
I'll definetly check this on out.
Now if they would just add Dr. Mario i'd be set for life!

Brings me back to the days of the original Mario when I was a kid. I used to be addicted to it.
