So apperently they have a name for my weird and twisted fingers.
So now I'm supposed to get some type of braces/rings (tripoint splints I think) to prevent PIP joint hyper-extension.
Anybody here has swan neck fingers? Did those braces worked for you? Did you simply not care and still have them twisted? Anybody has problems related to swan neck fingers? |

Them fingers in a relaxed position:
Them fingers crisped:
Gotta clip my nails, and yes I have long fingers
As far as playing goes they're not a problem, but I'm a sucky hack that can barely play bass/guitar so it does not matter much

I have a mild form of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, so I don't like hearing of swan neck fingers

What's exactly Ehlers-Danlos? The wiki page doesn't say much. |

What's exactly Ehlers-Danlos? The wiki page doesn't say much. | I don't know a ton as I'm lucky and it's minor, but it makes me double-jointed in the fingers and wrists, and my hips and shoulders are prone to dislocating.
I learnt if from a nurse because there's a scar on my leg that didn't heal normally, and it's a condition that affects collagen (is it collagen? I think it is, not certain).

Ziltoid also made some extra money in the early 80s working as a hand model for Steven Spielberg
I'm actually jealous- I've got short, inflexible fingers. I bet those things could be really useful. |

Imagine the chords possibilities!
Now, I'm just teasing I'm a talentless hack
And I never got my check from Spielberg, that dam thief!

My mom (now 80) has swanning of her fingers from arthritis and they're about 80% non functional. Hers eventually bent back rather than down and some at odd angles. Its not anything you want.
