At least thats what they're looking to do in this community.

I can just see prosecutors adressing the local judge.

Prosecutor: "Your honor the defendent is charged with violating the local code against swearing in a bar."
Judge:

That sucks for people who frequent bars.

Wait that was so generic and not contributing to the topic at all.

Enh, I've been to towns with no bars in them altogether, nor a place to even buy booze. Our van broke down and we pushed it to a gas station, 20 minutes later we were getting searched by cops because we looked like the spawns of satan or something.

Some towns are cool with being more "moral" like that, and usually the area is pretty non-substancial. It's not like that town is NYC or Boston or something. The only places those laws are able to be voted and passed, are places where the majority feel that way anyway.

Apparently the local bar owners aren't too happy with the proposed ordinance and are trying to get it changed.

NO actually that would be the results of the almighty preachers amongst us who are so bored on a daily basis they must find new stuff to complain about.

HI, the subject line's pretty misleading. The story gives no indication of how likely it is this proposal will actually be approved.

Yes, its called sensationalism so the "talk back radio" crowd can whip themselves up into a frenzy about how the gub'ment is taking away their rights without actually considering that this is probably at proposal stage and will probably never get passed. Awesomeness.
