Guys i went and saw it, and being a fan of musicals, i must say i did like it. Johnny Depp has a very good voice. I recommend that if you like musicals, you check it out.

yeah, i liked it a lot too. it's more than a musical, very good all around.

depp's voice reminded me at times of ian gillan.

the movie has some good humor too. My friends hated it, one even pointed out the blood looking really fake. I guess he didnt get that the whole movie was gloomy and it was meant to contrast it.

doesn't matter to me if the blood looked fake, 'cause johnny depp was singing in a sick, sadistic musical of a movie. It was awesome.

I liked it.

I'm a musical guy too, though.

The girl I was with covered her eyes the first time he got someone. By the end, she wasn't phased at all.

I really, really, really want to see this movie, but it hasn't been released in my city, and I do believe anywhere in my state, yet. I hope it comes out the tenth though. I haven't seen the live version of it, so I won't be checking in on this thread til I see it.

great flick. yeah the blood is real bad, far too bright, but it really sets it apart from the dark colors of everything else in the movie. theres a few parts where johnny depp has a grunge rock grit to his voice.

Loved the movie. With regards to the blood thing, have you guys ever seen another Tim Burton film? Depp has a very good voice, but lacks in the range department. Although he fit the role perfectly.

Haven't seen it yet... kinda plan to soon.

Tried getting some work in the musical locally, but another bassist got the part.

Other than The Wall. I hate musicals too. Have no plans to see it now. I didn't know it was a musical.

I'm taking my daughter to see it tomorrow.

I'm not a big fan of musicals like "7 brides 4 7 bros"

But I do love GOOD musicals.

IMHO, more disturbing than the blood spurting were the corpses landing on their heads after sliding down the chute from Sweeney's barber's chair.

Sacha Baron Cohen did a great job as Pirelli.
