It seems as though a restaurant can't call something "beef" if the actual beef falls below a 40% standard set by government. I go there about every two months, mostly ordering chicken items, but the beef does taste like beef when I've eaten it. I had no idea I was actually eating spiced oats. Quote:
Creed said Taco Bell is proud of the quality of its beef and identifies the seasoning and spice ingredients on its website.
According to that Web site, ingredients used to season the Taco Bell meat include salt, chili pepper, onion powder, tomato powder, oats, soy lectithin, sugar, soybean oil, garlic powder, yeast extract, citric acid and cocoa powder.
The lawsuit filed on behalf of Taco Bell customer and California resident Amanda Obney does not seek monetary damages, but asks the court to order Taco Bell to be honest in its advertising.

Is there actually no meat in their 'meat' at all?

| It's the same way with the little "apple" pies that you get at fast food places they are actually potatoes with apple flavoring
Of course I still eat the "apple" pies and Taco Bell I know it isn't good for me but it still tastes good plus if you haven't eaten Taco Bell in a while it'll give you a great detox

If you are eating Taco Bell and feeding your cat Fancy Feast, well......you can figure it out.
However, I like me a good 7 Layer Burrito every once in a while. No pseudo beef there. |

You'd order food at the Taco Bell near my old pad and they'd almost have the bag hanging out of the window as soon as you turned the corner. |

Okay in fairness the Taco Truck serves picadillo (shredded beef) as well; and it's really good. And it's run buy real Mexicans as opposed to plucky pimply teens. |
