Bread: Chalupas was flat.
Double down did not have any
Chicken:
Double down had two peices of moderatley slimey fried chicken
Chalupa had none
Beef: See above but reverse it.
Bacon: None on Chalupa, available as an option
Double down: Standard
Sauce: Present on both, necessary on neither
Verdict:
Both fantastic, but once again the Double Down remains the most ludicrous and delicious example of Fast Food gluttonous Glory. RIP Double Down (not sure about wher you live, but our KFC doesn't seem to have them anymore).

Don't think I'll try the DoubleDown. I'm not a big fan of the Colonel, with his wee beady eyes. |

The Double Down is actually pretty decent, though. Too salty, but otherwise not the worst thing I've ever eaten at a fast food chain. |

The double down is rivaled only by the spicy baconator, both of which have sadly passed on now.
Oh, and only the fried DD. The roasted one was kind of bleh.

For shame, that man was an American hero. My Godmother met him on a plane once. Apparently he was a little senile, but he did dress very much like the picture.

The chalupa wins for me becuase I can make it 'veg' by getting beans instead of meat like I do on most items at TB (this also makes Taco Bell much more tolerable).
