Tag/Hide and Seek for 2 hours - hbu?

Sign in to disble this ad
I just spent two hours plaing hide and seek/tag with my roommates. We turned everything off, put blankets up over the windows, covered the clocks with tape...it was the closest I've been to pitch black outside of caving. And it was the most fun I've had in forever! The anticipation, the stealth, the pillow throwing...Yes, I'm 19 and have a full school, work, and band schedule, and I just spent two hours on a spur of the moment go-with-the-flow situation.
We (my roommates and I) should do this more often. When's the last time you did something completely childish and fun?

i remember playing flashlight tag with my youth group on a camping trip a few years ago
it was awesome, we invaded the forest near the beach and went crazy

we ended up getting in lots of trouble with the campground security
it was awesome

my best friend/boxing coach can do really stupid things all the time. his excuse is due to running a funeral home, this is the only way he can deal with all the sadness on a daily basis:

we drove around town with me in the back of a hearse.. at one point, we went through a McDonalds drive thru (i wanted an ice cream cone) and i was playing dead in the back. we had the curtains open so the workers could see my "dead body". LOL at one point, (while waiting for our order.. it shouldn't have taken that long for ice cream cones, they asked for it LOL) he asked for some paper towels and some soapy water. LOL "it's ok, he's a little dirty, he needs to be cleaned up a bit" his brother was in his car in the parking lot watching and he said all the workers and customers were just staring at the hearse going through the drive thru. they were freaking out.

i guess you had to be there.

I don't think so. I'm laughing right now. The hearse bit reminds me of the episode of Jackass where they had the casket falling out of the back of the hears on steep hills.

Every friday at work is "causal friday". Every casual friday I wear one of my two Homestarrunner shirts. If I wear the red one with the white star, I spend the entire day talking in Homestarrunner speak. Sewoiusly!

When I was in college I worked part time evenings as a "sanitation engineer" working in different office buildings and businesses after they had closed for the day. Several times I got 3 or more friends together and we would turn off all the lights and play hide and seek, capture the flag or laser tag.

Until that one time someone called the cops at 11 pm telling them that there were a bunch of burglars with guns inside the hardware store.

It was damn fun! But it was a lot less fun having cops pointing guns at me and then me having to call my boss in at midnight to verify that I was a legitimate employee. And then after the cops left having to explain to my boss why I was playing laser tag with a bunch of my friends instead of mopping floors and emptying trash cans.

One of my friends worked as the evening janitor for my old high school and he used to invite a bunch of us to come out and play in the gym.

Bombardment, floor hockey, whiffle ball, scooter races. All the fun games from gym class without the gym teacher.
