Faster yes. Can you figure out how to delete posts? Or how to close a thread?

That is admin only actions. But you can edit by just tapping the post.

Nope. You can both delete your own posts in threads you've started as well as close threads you've started in the classifieds using the TB web site. Can't seem to do so with this app though.

Is there anyway to get your just "subscribed" threads to show up when they are updated and not just the ones you've "participated" in?

I follow/am subscribed to several threads that I've never "participated" in, and those don't show up as/when updated on this new app. Do I need to go into each of those and type in the stupid "sub'd" thing just to make this happen?

A lot of glitches to be worked out on this android tapatalk version. Such as, it keeps taking me back to a post from earlier in the day, that I've read 2 - 3 times already, then I have to scroll down the page to find the new one. Also, had to pull my batt 2x's today as my phone froze up while viewing a pic. The "dark mode" setting sucks as it goes to white every time you scroll down the page, then sometimes, not always, returns to dark mode. IMO, it's all a huge PITA. Fix it fast or bring back the old version. I used the old app all the time, now I don't think I'm gonna do so nearly as much. At least not 'till it's brought on par with the old android app.

Not sure if I'm understanding your question correctly, but I just was forced to install the new app today, and almost posted some questions myself. To get you subscribed threads to show up, you need to press "participated" on the upper right hand corner and it will stay as a preference. There is also the option to show "all" threads, or "unread" threads. My guess is the answer to your question is in one of those options.

As for what gets read first, I experienced the same thing as you but i think that had to do with information from the old app and new possibly conflicting. If not check the loading behavior under settings in the "more section on the top of the screen.

Me thinks we all just have to get used to the new app. Most people seem to like it better than the old, I, like you just may have grown very comfortable with the other one. Was sad to see it go. :/

It's labelled as "favorites" now. It's on the bottom for my iPhone in the "more" area.

I like this new app! Much faster and I haven't had any ridiculous waiting times yet. And the layout looks better IMO. having some stuff moved around or named differently took some getting used to, though.

Is there any way to make the app show the name of the last poster rather than the first when you're looking at the threads in a subforum? Like the old app.

This new lay out SUCKS! Anybody tried to send a pm you have a .5 second window to hit it before it disappears.

And the search sucks equally

Overall fail

I'm not liking it much either. It's clunky and not all that intuitive. Also, I either get taken back to posts I've already read, or dropped off in the middle of a thread I haven't been in before, even though my settings say to go to the first unread post. There are also threads in my participated list that I've never participated in...

That's what I thought you could do in settings by choosing 'latest post'. Seems that just drops you in on the last page when you choose a thread. The list of threads still shows the OP, and the post-counter box is grey if there has been any added posts...not impressed at the mo, but I'm sure it's a work in progress

Yeah, that's actually the only thing that annoys me, other than that the app is pretty neat.

Digging the new app as well! The old one kept crashing. After an entire day of adding it back in i desperately searched for the new one. Very fast and slick, it is.

One thing I liked about the old app was that when you went to "all posts by tastybasslines", you could see what had been replied to because it was bolded. Does this do that? I have a hard time see what has been replied to and what hasn't.

The tapatalk iPod touch app is the most unstable thing I've known. And I've played The Simpsons: Tapped Out.

This app is seriously lacking. No good. Can't even search within a thread? Can't close your own thread in the classifieds? Can't delete your own bump posts in the classifieds?

Stinks.

I mean, it's not terrible. And definitely better than the old one. The old one felt "clunky."
