In my head, the translated pages sound like the french soldiers from Monty Python.

Just for the record, most teenagers don't actually type like that. At least the ones that I know.

who needs a translator, all you need to do is mix it with 12-year-old-AOLer-speak, babytalk, and deliberate mispellings, with the occasional ebonics for good measure. That's all there is to LOLcats-speak.

"LOLcats" are the dumbed-down version of "cat macros." Cat macros would feature a picture of a cat with a humorous caption either in plain English, or often "Engrish" (easily simulated by using a web translator to translate English text to Japanese, to Korean, and back to English again), sometimes with a bit of speech colloquialisms thrown in (but not deliberate misspellings), and sometimes containing a pop culture quote or reference. They were often clever, sometimes subtle, and sometimes insanely funny. LOLcats are the bastardized version of the original cat macros, dumbed down for mass consumption.

It turns even the most insidious sites into benign fluff.
