The Good, Bad & Ugly+
The Good-
My favorite good one was with Spanky Pants and the guy that got the check that was going to cash it from the phony address. He went all around the city with his lap top - priceless comedy
The Talkbass get together last summer at Lakland. Met a lot of great people and was blown away by the bands including Jaquo. Amazing player and killer band!
Meeting a lot of great bass players who have increased my bass knowledge and turned me on to some cool new music.
Bad ones -What happened to Spanky Pants, such a nice & cool guy. I really hope everything works out for him.
The dad who came here looking for his lost son who turned out to have committed suicide.
The Ugly-
The banning and humiliation of a person who we all must not speak of.
I kind of thought he was a decent guy. I'm not sure what really happened or why his father came on here threatening to take legal action against TalkBass if anyone so much whispers his name?
The Dude finding out second hand about Lakland, which I'm not sure what the final ending was. All I know is Lakland is taking care of it's customers.
These are my memories of Talkbass to this point of time, it's been interesting to say the least! |

I agree, the phony check prank was absolutely priceless.

The few things that do stick out are things I found funny that no one else did or that weren't posted for humor. Recounting them kinda makes me look like a jerk....and you'd be right.
