What? Dumps it in the box? Is that from hockey or does it just sound that way? | Yeah, I sometimes watch the South American leagues, and they have American commentators. They're rather awful, probably due to the reasons you state: they need to grow up watching the game to really understand it. They're not all bad, but some of them seem genuinely clueless about the sport. I'd hit the "mute" button, but I hate watching football with hearing the crowd.

I'd hit the "mute" button, but I can't watch football with hearing the crowd. | I've had an idea for many years that sporting events should be televised with the option of hearing "crowd noise only" through the SAP channel. If you're not familiar with SAP, it's a second audio channel on your TV that is typically used to provide audio in a different language. For example, when I watch Premier League on the Spanish channel, I can hit a button and I get the English announcers instead. I can also watch "The Simpsons" in Spanish by hitting the SAP button.
I find 99% of sports announcers to be obnoxious, so the crowd noise only channel would be heaven for me, but no one I've mentioned it to has thought it a good idea. I live a few minutes away from FOX and ESPN studios, so by now I should have gone over there and told them.

I want the atmosphere of the crowd, but the commentary I can often live without. If you start a petition, I'll sign it. You'd think it would be a fairly simple option to include these days.

It was worse than Brent Musberger's fake "Oh Baby" when doing college football. Please Fox, DO NOT subject me to that again. | Sounds quite like a description of Chelsea's part in the game.

He has been pretty damn impressive all season. I hope stains a hamstring - nothing serious, just for a few weeks. He's single-handedly keeping them in the hunt for CL spot, and that's just can't be allowed. Arsenal 3rd, Everton 4th - that's what I'd like to see. Chelsea are doing their bit - they get worse every week. |

If he wants a trophy within next year or two, he's probably aware he must keep him. If he wants to do business, I can see him accepting £50m. Speaking of which, I love how these rumors from the rags spike with each good showing from Bale. It's as if the boards and presidents of Real/Barca are stalking Bale.

Clean sheet = Bara/Real to buy De Gea, possible trade + cash for Ronaldo in Real's case. Begovic to replace.
No clean sheet = Fergie loosing patience, to become backup next season. Begovic to replace.
Lindegaard plays = Rubbish keeper, Fergie insanely angry, De Gea shipped off asap. Begovic to replace.
