| | | | Can't grouch about them set of results.
United make it freaking nervy for the fans though, that was hard watching at times.

DS - I know exactly what you mean. Doing your damn best to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory seems the order of the day lately. |

EDIT: Stay up, aye, torn between MOTD and working on my Fifa 13 ultimate team....

As you might expect there was a yellow card handed out for diving - Arsenal's Giroud. Am a little surprised it hadn't been mentioned yet by this rabid anti-diving thread.
There was also a handball in the box that wasn't called and the player in question, I am shocked (shocked) to report, did not correct the call, no not Suarez, an Arsenal player who took an inadvertent hand ball but then swung the other hand to bat the ball to the sidelines.
Liverpool's defense doesn't seem to play as tight on players in the 20-35 yard area as Arsenal and the bit of ManU that I saw, is this by design or are they just too slow to close down space a little quicker.
To borrow a phrase from Coach Hoodie, you are what your record says you are and LFC is a slightly better than average club but no real threat to the top of the table.
Aresenal did well to get back in the game after going down by 2 goals. LFC could taste 3 points but couldn't close the deal - that is what I suspect mid-table teams do.

| | | | Didn't see any of the Arsenal/Liverpool game until MOTD just now mate, was too busy watching United.
Giroud's dive was freaking ridiculous indeed, the handball was blatant too.
On the other side, Walcott's goal was class, and made Reina look like a tit, quite enjoyed that.

From what I saw of ManU, they can win ugly and they are deadly on set pieces, both things will help keep them at the top. I'd love to steal some of ManU's grit and determination and inject it into LFC.

That doesn't make el Conejo's frequent and blatant diving any less contemptible. We've all called out our own players over the past few seasons.

In it for the challenge. Yup.

| | | | Especially January ones. Last season, I remember we got a defender who's name I can't remember, purely for the reserves, it seems. Oddly enough, signed from City.

Gotta say, I pegged Beckham wrong, family stays in London, and his salary goes to charity.

Would've been even more impressive if we'd not known about the charity thing and he'd just done it.

| | | Of course it's good press for him, and PSG, but still, it's pretty awesome.
I'm sure the charity won't complain if he tells everyone over and over and over again, either.

| | | | And so, most awful of deadline days grinds to a halt from its day long trickle.
Highlights included, Beckham to PSG, Becchio to Norwich, Brek Shea to Stoke, some Spanish left back to Arsenal, and everyone except Odemwingie to QPR.
Yawn.
