Rio's post coin- attack tweets highly amusing. Of course the media sit in judgement in their ivory towers...whilst he enjoys the X Factor final in Manchester.

Would have been a travesty had we got nowt today. Dempseys spawny deflection looked to have nicked it after we bossed a largely average game. Couple of penalty shouts too...be interested to see the replays.

Made up for Peanut slotting against his 'former side'

But again, Fellaini...harder than an end-of-level boss.

Day soured by LFC nicking a win at Upton Park. They probably cheated in some form or another.

Of all things, bass playing got in the way of football today - we did have an iPad to hand with the derby on so kept up with events but missed the goals when they happened. Settling down with a cuppa to watch MOTD2. I may laugh quite a lot. And shake my head at the 'fans'.

I also loved Rio's tweet about it. Letting others take it seriously. Just think - if he'd put that 2p on Joe Cole scoring...

I know, this is off topic, but I thought it might pass as a reasonable excuse for not watching the game. Whenever the PA guy walked past the iPad there seemed to be another goal so I made him sit behind the desk for the last few minutes until we were safe.

I was gonna change my avatar to Rio with his bust eye, but I think Titus has the market cornered there.

There'll be plenty of head shaking, I didn't see it, but I'm told they tried to hit Fergie with coins too, oddly while he was shaking hands with Mancini.....

It's ok DS, change your avatar by all means. I think it'd look cool. Though Dunc was also playing with a broken arm during that game, so Rio is still little league!

Cheeze - the Gwladys Street sucked that ball in for the winner. Cracking finish. We are off to Mordor next week, where we hope to vanquish the evil Uruk-Hai. But we have our very own Aragorn in Fellaini of course

I see Fellaini as more of a Treebeard than an Aragorn.

Touché. Of course he is.

btw, if you read this threads history, you'll discover that Stoke are Cheeze's second team.

A broken arm?! Jesus, football really was a different game back then!

Last 15 minutes of matches have cost Spurs 14 points. That would put us 1 point ahead of United up top. I sincerely hope this isn't a season long pattern.

Also, I'm at least able to pick out the more fickle supporters among us. lol

Titus - there was an own goal involved but if I am to understand your comment in post 337 correctly, that own goals are totally cricket, so to speak. With Suarez out serving his suspension, the chances of some sort of foul play being involved are greatly reduced, no?

It is good to see some late scoring (or for that matter, any scoring) from LFC. The Reds are in the top half of the table now, onward and upward to the top quartile.

There was an OG in each direction, right, Gerrard for West Ham(would have actually been a cracker were it the right net), and Collins for Pool?

I've never thought of the league in quartiles. For me it's divided into champions, Champions League places, Europa League place, the rest, and relegation.

Isn't that basically the same thing?

Top quartile = Europe, bottom = danger.

(slaps forehead)

Of course it is! I didn't think through the stats. It's a good thing I don't need to work with numbers on a daily basis, isn't it?

I have no idea what I said 5 minutes ago, let alone what I said in post 337. The phone app doesn't number each post, so I can't scroll back to see what you are referring to.

Anyway, my poor, deluded friend, it is never good to see LFC scoring, unless of course it is either a) a quality strike like Stevie-G-la's on Sunday, b) an inconsequential late consolation goal or c) subsequently disallowed.

Quartiles? Save that talk for your US sport stats!

I quite enjoy Liverpool goals when they deny City a win and leave both teams with one point.
