It's only now, after a 3 hour drive home through lashing rain that I'm a bit envious of the lads all out on the lash in Bolton... |

The whole 'man-card' thing was tongue in cheek tbh...it was a no-brainer really.
And I remembered your Hove connection too. Looked a great game. Is that 6 in 8 for Giroud? Who needs RvP... |

| | The King! | | | | Aye, that "atmosphere" was ridiculous. If I'd have shouted from here I probably could have drowned them out.....
Seems Giroud has that whole kick the ball into the net deal figured out.

Do you reckon he's a good long term prospect? |

These potential giant-killings are all about seizing the moment. How many times have we seen lower league clubs almost nick a win, them get tonked in a replay?
Having said that, I think the financial implications are so significant that Brentford will be thinking "quids in" above anything that happened on the pitch today.
I just hope Oldham can turn in a performance to dump out Liverpool. |

Do you reckon he's a good long term prospect? | I think I'm becoming a believer. I read a blog today which made the point that if a certain traitorous skunk striped Dutch twat had scored those goals yesterday, the media and others would be creaming themselves all over him. I think Giroud's hold up play has always been good, and now his finishing is more confident, he could be the real deal. |

One less 'big team' in the quarter final draw though. |

| | The King! | | | | | Lilly Whites beaten by the dirty Whites.
Shame that, from an anti Leeds standpoint, but Dempsey's goal being worthless in the end is kinda nice.

One less 'big team' in the quarter final draw though. | I didn't consider the Diouf angle, but all in all, I find it difficult to complain about chimpy and the Spurs going down. And dammit, as I type this, I see el conejo score for the 'orrible reds. |

Bad day at the office for Celtic as well, lost 3-2 to St Mirren in semi-final of league cup... |

Some players do take a long time to adjust to the EPL; hopefully Giroud will keep getting better. He's certainly not lazy - he's always making runs, and getting stuck in, and I like his attitude. I hope he ends up being the real deal. Wenger isn't wrong too often when it comes to spotting talent.
As for Spurs being out, that's worth a drink for sure. Not that I need an excuse for a drink, but it's good to have one (both an excuse and a drink).
