I'm tall. I'm 6'5"ish.
I'm taller than most of you. I'm taller than most everyone I see. I'm not tall enough to be anything special, just tall enough to be awkward and strange.
It weirds me out when I see someone in my height range, I'm like "whoa! look at that freak over there! He must be seven foot tall! Such strange proportions that creature has. How unforunate for him." Then we pass and we're looking eye to eye.
Mirrors and photos are also odd. I don't realize that I look like I'm prepared to eat people I'm with until I see myself next to them.
I don't fit in anything. Clothes reveal my buttcrack or are built to tent-like proportion. Cars are designed for Hobbits, I'm convinced. Amusement park rides and airplane seats? Bleh.
I know I've seen posts in the past about people who're overendowed with height on here. Share with me brothers.

His nickname is Bear. Heh heh.

Bad move buddy. Good luck getting help pulling down that tupperware from the top shelf! Quote:

Not to mention that I don't have any high shelfs.

The worst is my grandmother's house, the doorways are all 6'! I gotta duck through each and every one...
Most cars make me feel somewhat claustrophobic as well, the biggest reason I love my Honda Element is the insane amount of headroom that it has.
Most mirrors are set too low for me as well....

I experience the same phenomenon. It's rare enough for me to come across someone taller than I that it kind of throws me off to see them at first.
My son is likely to be taller. He's four, but looks like he's about 7. He's got a little peanut head, too, which will exaggerate the effect, like those oddly proportioned heroic paintings of Washington, where they gave him a little head so that he appears taller....

Dude, be happy you're not Napoleon-esque. | Yeah, I'm happy I'm big. I just wish the rest of the world would accomodate me better.
Top of the list:
A shower head I didn't have to do a back bend to get underneath.
Countertops I don't have to hunch over to chop food on.
Sportscars that fit me and my fauxhawk.
When I get out of apartment living someday, my house will have different dimensions than those I've been forced to suffer through.

I'm only 6'1 but I have freakishly long legs (my jeans are a 36 in the leg) so I feel you pain when it comes to getting comfy in automobiles. Occasionally I'll hit the chin up bar in my door way if I happen to be passing through it during the peak of my midstride.
I wish I was taller.
So I could bully people.
Grrr!

It feels strange when I see someone taller than me.
There's one country, Sweden I think, where if you are above a certain height then it is considered a disablity and the airlines etc have to cater for you. |

(No sympathy for the fauxhawk, though. ) I'm 6'5" as well. I'll add to the list finding shoes, and not being able to drive (and thus buy) small, cheaper, more fuel-efficient cars.
I really like being tall and wouldn't trade places with someone under 6'. But it comes with its share of hassles and extra costs.
