Lightbulb Tattoo ideas for my 10th wedding anniversary...

Sign in to disble this ad
My wife and I are thinking of getting tattoos for our 10th wedding anniversary. This will be our first ink.

We're not sure what we should get. Do you guys (and girls) have any ideas for us? We don't need to get our tattoo on the same body part, but we would like the tattoo to be the same. This would be different, but I could get her name and she could get mine, maybe...

Thoughts... Ideas... Suggestions...

Something kinda' small and not too colorful. I'd like to be able to share it with people without having to take my shirt off (nobody wants that). Maybe my upper arm is an option... She was thinking about getting it on her shoulder...

Joe

get something meaningful or symbolic for both of you. something that when you look at it you'll think of each other.

Yeah, and depending on where you live, it may be hard for you to find a place that would tattoo names. Go for images and ideas and not names.

Thanks you sir.

That's an interesting idea. It gives me another idea... What do you think about a fingerprint?

Really? Why?

I don't think it will be a problem finding a place to do names. There are several colleges in this area and surrounding areas. It's pretty easy to find a tattoo joint near a college.

I was trying to talk my wife into getting a life-sized tattoo of Jessica Simpson. She got all huffy, and then we got divorced.

I was like... WTH?!?!?

Seriously, it's hard to top a nice scroll/banner with your names. At least then you're not having to say yes to a butterfly, or big pink hearts, or something. I know a dude that got his on his wrist. He can cover it with a watch for his probation meetings and extra-marital situations, and fly it proud the rest of the time.

But like others have posted, congrats on the decade mark, and best wishes for many more decades to come.

I actually like the ten tallies idea.
Only you two will get it and it will be cool for conversation and if anything goes wrong you won't look so stupid as if you had anything else.

Sorry should have clarified that. Names of significant other's. There's not a problem doing names of pets, family members, bands, etc. but there's a things about getting a significant other's name tattooed. It's just a superstition. It's like putting a curse on a couple. Couples who get each other's names tattooed on them don't last. Most shops don't do them like how they don't do gang signs and swastikas etc.

You could get a ball and she should get the chain. Or you could get a leash and she could get the strap ?

Or she could just get a tat of your two golfballs.

All sound funny to me at least, haha.

Fingerprints sound like a neat idea! That or the hash marks...

Just steer clear of pictures...

I dunno about the fingerprint, I think it'd probably have to be a pretty decent size to make it really last. (of course, depending on how you do it)

You could always get your initials together on your ring finger.

Get your name inside her bottom lip.
