Tax Season! Yay!

Sign in to disble this ad
So, it's tax time again. I'm a little excited. I'm thinking I'm going to buy some new gear (Maybe), a new wardrobe for my little one and myself and the rest goes to new house stuff!
What're you guys gonna spend yours on, if you're getting some?

We are getting around $15 back. Just the way I like it. I am of the "no interest free loans to the government" crowd.

I'm disappointed I won't have to pay a fat stack. It has not been a good year for my company.

I'm hoping to get something back, but our deductions and the wife's witholding have changed this year, so it's anybody's guess until I see the W-2s and look at the 2010 1040 form.

I'm thinking some bass-related purchases with my refund will happen, and what's left over I'm planning on putting either into savings or paying down debt.

Mine will go into the diamond fund. I usually don't get much back, but this, due to school, I didn't make enough money to have to pay taxes and when I was working, I was paying taxes like I was making 40k a year. So I have a nice fat cheque coming my way.

Same here. Yes, it tends to mean I have to pay taxes sometime between now and April 15 instead of getting back money, but I had more to spend and invest during 2010. It makes financial sense. Also, my company doesn't give out its annual bonus till mid/late February, which takes the sting out of paying in.

I paid the bastards off finally last year, so this year I will get a refund for the first time in a long while. We're thinking about taking our third trip to Amsterdam.

I'm gonna buy the matching 2x12 for my recent Bogner Shiva purchase. Or a new PC. I can't decide which.

I'll probably spend most of it on booze, drugs, and women, (actually, just one woman). The rest of it, I'll spend on something useless.

This will actually be the last year I can be listed as a dependent so I'll probably be getting something back. That something will either go toward a new pedal/amp/cab, some golf clubs, or stocks.

That is exactly the way to look at it. I much prefer to pay out rather than get back anything - because getting back $ means I gave the gummint an interest-free loan all year.

But I do know that it feels great to get a check instead of writing one!

Im paying my parents back some money they loaned me. It'll be good to have that debt settled, I hate owing money to friends or family.
I should have some money left over for a Brice 5 string Fretless.
And I'm taking my fiancee out for our 2 year anniversary. Neither of us are sure exactly what the date was, so we just decided its sometime next weekend, for sure.
