TB Artist's "Club" (large image alert)

Sign in to disble this ad
This isn't really a club, per say. It's more of a "post some of the artwork you've created" thread. I'm not gonna hand out numbers, because I'll never keep up with it. However, if you really want numbers, then by all means, give yourself a number.

So here's some of my more recent stuff - I work in all sorts of mediums, but these are all pencil and charcoal, as that's what I've been focusing on. I do have a couple paintings in the work, and starting a mural for my buddy's pizza place at the beginning of the new year. Also, I've been drawing mostly music related stuff...

Peter Gabriel, from the cover of his third self titled album.
Charcoal

Leland Sklar. You should all know this guy, as I'm pretty sure I'm on some sort of bass guitar forum. Weird, huh?
Charcoal

David Bowie, from the Aladdin Sane album.
Watercolor Pencil and regular pencil

Henry Rollins (Singer - Black Flag, Rollins Band, author, poet, all around hardcore pioneer).
Pencil

Ulver, a Norwegian band that was black metal for about 3 1/2 days, before morphing into a really cool ambient electronic outfit.
Pencil

Frank Zappa. Another man who shouldn't need any explanation.
Pencil

I'll come back and post more stuff periodically, as I encourage you to do the same, along with questions, comments, constructive criticism, etc.

I refuse to believe there are no other artists on TB. Maybe it's because I'm posting late at night.

EDIT: Just realized I posted this exactly 24 hours after the OP.

I've been VERY inactive the past two years since my work/home duties doubled after my wife became very ill, but prior to that, I "lived" off of being a painter. I've been trying to get some holiday pastels done to go up for sale- they're the medium I work fastest in, and I'm still about 4 weeks behind schedule on those.
Here's a couple oils:

Great work.

I don't really consider myself an artist, but I used to draw a lot when I was a kid. Last year picked up a pencil and paper to sell some drawings on ebay - which I did. I don't really have fun drawing though, and I can't say I was making a killing, so I haven't done anything since. Here's what came of my first shot at drawing in about 30 yrs.

and the one that didn't sell which I titled "JAM".

thank you! Not professional, just do it as a hobby. I do some freelance work though-have sold a few of my work. I have been drawing since I was a little girl, but really got into it more in jr high.
I was hoping to get some assignments before Christmas for Christmas money, but regardless of my cheap charge ($30-40) nobody wanted me to draw. Well, my bff asked me Wed.to work on one...

Wow I love this thread! Here’s a few I have on my computer
first off a couple of bass pics

this is my avatar. it’s the black hole I created when I pointed my web cam at the screen.

Last is a pic I snapped when I was at the Brooklyn museum.

Thanks. That's the majority of the kinds of paintings I do- groups in interiors. I've actually sold a lot of them before I had a digital camera to take photos of them, which is something I really regret now.
