I just tried to order a TB Beanie…the ones for $12.95. After shipping to Toronto it came out to $36.00!!! $23.00 to ship a Beanie???!!??? Come on, TB. Offer some better shipping rates to your Canadian participants.
$23.00 is just stupid, especially to Canada.

$30.00 to the Netherlands, thousands of miles away, across an ocean, on a different continent.
$7.00 difference. Geez, who the hell is the genius that negotiated those freight rates?

Besides, the proceeds go right back into paying for the site, so you could just consider it giving a little something back.
just my .02

just my .02 | Sorry but thats BS. Only with memberships, I would bet my right arm that TB makes a NICE sum of money, it will pay for all expenses, and there will be QUITE the amount left after that. Look up hosting prices, then look up the number of supporting memberships and multiply by 20 bucks a pop (every year).
That's quite a few thousand dollars profit. |
