Thats right. Its spring time, and you know what that means? Time to bust out those show cars or DD Muscle cars from winter storage.

Over the past 4 months, I've owned two Trans ams, insurance issues made me trade my 2nd gen 79 Trans am for a 3rd gen 89 trans am. Still a fast car, I'd say. Had a bunch of engine problems in the 89, So I pulled the engine for a cheap 3.4 from an S10. not as fast, but still good. I gotta wait a bit till I have more money for a new engine.

Post up your ride, Or just shoot the shat bout american muscle.

Oh man, that qoute goes so deep for me. I bought this car (trans am) without my parents knowledge or permission. I'm 17. A real badass buys a trans am without their parents knowing.

T-tops leak, Although, I want them. I couldn't find any in my price range with t-tops.

My buddy has an 85 camaro for sale, beautiful car, tons of work done to it, fast as anything ect. He is selling it for dirt cheap as well (needs money), alas, I cannot afford it. Short of selling a kidney.

lowsound

EDIT: www.carsinbarns.com makes me cry.

Aw man, I can't look at that site. Too many cars with potential.

That reminds me, I saw a website about some old fart in the states who owns a forest full of trashed cars. Mainly fox bodies, But I saw some old f bodies and A bodies. All of em trashed, or solid rust. It brought a tear to my eye.

I am waiting for the day that I walk into an old barn and find some old Harley or Indian. That is what I truly want, although an old muscle car (particularly a camaro) would be nice.

My oldie but goodie:

I still mourn the memory of watching someone else drive off in it before it died a slow death. It needed too much work I couldn't afford to put into it.

Owned this back in the early 90's. Was my only American muscle. Car was definitely quick. 5.0, 5-speed. Bone stock except for a cat-back exhaust. Was lots of fun!

I've had a few mild street machines over the years - most of them Fords.

- 68 Ford Mustang fastback w/390 + 4 spd
- 79 Chevy Camaro w/350
- 81 Ford Mustang w/transplanted 289 (300+ HP)
- 78 Chevy Nova w/350
- 86 Ford Mustang GT w/5.0 + 5 spd
- 78 Ford Fairmont w/351w (330+ HP)

I don't have any of them anymore. My current project is a 78 Mercedes Benz 450 SEL that I've converted to Megasquirt fuel injection and it can run on either gasoline or alcohol. Not really a standard muscle car, but it is different.

I want an old dodge charger.

But I could never afford to run one over here, let alone buy it in the first place!

Massive car, handles like crap. But damn, it's just sweet.

Man I must be an old school old fart, but when I think of muscle cars, I'm thinkin' mid 60's to early 70's iron from Detroit. First thing I think of are a 67-68 Camaro's or Firebird's, then 67-68 Mustang fastbacks... How 'bout posting up some pix of those bad boys?

And let's throw in some old Mopar for good measure!
