Hey, things have been hectic lately, senior year, college apps, blah. I barely have time for anything right now.
some of you probably know that i'll be moving out of the middle east for college. I was planning on going to Canada but I won't be able to because of their student visa laws(I'm too young to get one). I already had a list of universities in the US as backup so I applied to those.
Now, I have been accepted into Bowling Green State University in Ohio with a generous scholarship. My chances of going there are really high. I've never really heard much about the place though and would like to know what you TBers think about it.
I'd also like to know about their music scene.
Oh, and if you have actually been there then would you by any chance know if there are any martial art schools located there?
Thanks! |

The good thing is that you would not be too far form Nashville which is a nice city with a good music scene.

It's a good sized college with a nice campus. Most of the town is geared toward the University, and I think you'd have a great time there.
You'd have the added bonus of me being in the area. As far as martial arts schools, I have no idea, but I'm sure there'd be some in Toledo. I'm also not really familiar with the College Music scene, as I play in a pretty different "scene" than most college aged players. |

...Bowling Green is where the GM Corvette factory is.
Definitely check it out if you go there, amazing place!

You'd be wrong if you were.

BG is an awesome college environment. I used to work in BG, and my friends and I used to drive through campus on class change to admire the "scenery". We thought about buying backpacks and just blending in for a while.
Not something you would regret. I hear the school is ok too.

Thanks for the info guys, I pmed a TBer who lives in Bowling Green and got some info out of him as well. Much appreciated!
Turning down the offer they've giving me is hard, so I might not have any choice but to go there. I'm still not a 100% sure though...
My main concern is moving around. I wont have a car so driving to Toledo for gigs, martial art gyms (i plan on taking up kickboxing when i move there),etc. -.-
oh and I'll definitely let you know if I'll be moving to BG for sure cheezewiz!
thanks again |
