Terrible pain in right arm..

He guys,

When I woke up this morning I had a lot of pain in my right arm. Especially my forearm and my hand are killing me. It's sort of feels like I have a lot of cramp and once in a while I literally feel the beats of my heart in my arm..

Do you think I should see a doctor or wait a day or 2?

Could be a muscle spasm, could be a blood clot, could be something else. I would get to a doctor asap. Why risk it?

I'm waking up in pain the last 3 days...

sorry guys just trying to gross you out

Now seriously, OP, maybe you slept over your arm, but if the pain doesn't stop in an hour or so, yes you should see a doctor...

You might want to have your ring removed, to avoid losing your finger.

I have an xray scheduled today, so they'll remove the ring (cut it in half, most likely).

Unfortunately I can't remove myself, the hand is too swollen... I even tried ice around that finger but it didn't swedge down.

Well it took about 2½ hours, but the pain is gone for now. I tried to call the doc but he had a day off and his replacement wasn't available either *sigh*

I will try to contact him later today, hopefully he is at work then.

@ giacomini

Double ouch! That ring almost cuts your finger off..

Great that the pain is gone, bro!

I got the ring cut off at the doctor and the xray looked great, no injured bones in the hand/wrist!

Darn, I didn't have time to make some snarky fake homeopathic comment like...."Soak it in pure bleach followed by rubbing it with Paprika while keeping it in a large trash bag (no oxygen, helps pull out the toxins)."

It would have worked, but since you are feeling better I guess just try Ibuprofen (much like bagged paprika bleaching).

Better late than never. Anyway, a doctor visit would still be a great idea.

Well I went to the doctor and he thinks I am overtired (run-down). Nothing serious luckily. I have to sleep more, drink no coffee for a week or so and try to keep myself calm

It's almost funny how we've all zero'd in on the finger, and totally ignored the massive burn on the palm of the hand.

Anyhow OP, sounds like your getting a bit of cramping, I have to wear a wrist brace when I sleep, keeps the tendons from swelling and causing carpal tunnel. Your wrist needs to be kept straight when you sleep, but that's near impossible without a brace.

Oh.....I nearly forgot to mention how well this works for burns as well with the addition of Cayenne pepper naturally?

"Soak it in pure bleach followed by rubbing it with Paprika and Cayenne while keeping it in a large trash bag (no oxygen, helps pull out the toxins)."

I cannot be reached for any further medical advice today. I have a chin implant extraction to finish in my kitchen after I'm done typing.
