100%! Booyah! Then again, these are common sense questions.

I don't see how many of those questions were considered geography. Social studies, yes. Geography, no.

Long story short, I aced everything.

I aced everything to but I have to agree with tplyons, these were not geography questions. Much like my 9th grade geography class in which we did absolutely no geography.

Geography Degree, Member of American Association of Geographers here.

This is not geography. I hate crap like this. Further confuses people as to what geography actually is.

And the irony is this is presented by the NAEP (whomever), so I'd say...not much progress.

Oh it's definitely not geography but that's what they labeled it. It's kinda ironic when they say kids aren't scoring as well as they once were on these kinds of tests and yet the people administrating the tests don't even know the difference between social studies and geography.

This isn't geography. :-\ On a sour note, I missed a question on the 8th grade one. :-( 100% on the other two though.

The only one I missed was the very last one at the 12th grade level (about the air masses passing over the Great Lakes).

I only missed one in that grade level too, but it was about African women.

Did you think the lakes would have a cooling affect on the air?

If I recall, that was the correct answer. Can't remember which one I said. Might have had something to do with the air temp vs. the water temp. Either way, I screwed up my perfect score...

100% in all 3.

What age are kids in those grades? ~9, ~13 and ~17?

Missed question 3 in the 4th grade, but the answer was wrong.

It asked why we wouldn't see steel mills like this in the US today and the correct answer is because we import most of our steel, but they claimed it was because of more stringent environmental regs. What a crock of propaganda.

Just about, depending on who started early/late.

I got 4 and 12 100%. I missed the question about the sod houses. It all seemed to be geared towards people in the US, which I am not.
