To make things short today I went to play soccer with some friends after a super long hiatus of not being on the field and having a scrimmage, and well I got nailed in the nether region. I was out on the ground for a while and it took some time to get up. Now I'm worried I may have some serious damage done to my business. It happened like three hours ago and well I'm getting off and on pains. Nothing excruciating ...thank god, but yea I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow. Is there anything I should be worried about? This may sound extremely stupid, but I've never been hit down there with so muuuuuuuch force. Has anyone had experience with these types of injuries? Perhaps this can be a thread for people getting hit with massive force down there and people can tell their stories or whatever. Maybe it'll be funny, I don't know. But yea, I hope I'm all good. Sorry moderators...if this is unacceptable. I don't see why it would be since this is something serious and well natural, I suppose. If it gets closed, I guess I'll go to the WebMD forums or something. Thanks. |

A buddy of mine moved to Philly and slipped on a patch of ice there, landing on his jewels. He ended up (for lack of a better phrase) busting his nut. Now he has a prosthetic one. He says it's not too much different but still a bit awkward.
So I say go see a doc if the pain keeps on.
Sending good vibes your way m'friend.

This is the wierdest thing but like it feels like something shouldn't be where it's at. Damnit. I guess I'll have to see in the morning. |

Somehow one of his jewels became "undocked" and twisted around it's own cord cutting off circulation. Poor guy had to take off a couple days for some out-patient surgery. |

it sounds like you have some trauma going there, and, though it may clear up by itself, yer friendly neighborhood DR. is the one to make the call.

i just talked to my sweetheart. 31 year nurse, much ER experience, all around ballbuster...hehehhehheh....
she said you should go to the ER.
so...what are you waiting for?
GO!

I'd say get them checked if they're still hurting.

When I was younger I swang my foot into my Dad's testicles as he picked me up. He ended up in hospital due to a bit of the old twisting and knotting. |

| | | | I'd definitely go get it looked at right away. Like, don't even wait until morning if you can help it.
A number of years back I actually had a inguinal hernia, but I ignored it for days because I refused to believe it was anything serious. But it kept getting worse, and I of course ended up having surgery and all that. Not fun.
Not that you have a hernia, but the point is don't just hope it'll go away, go to the doctor! A man cannot afford to mess around when it comes to the jewels! |

I was opening up my lifeguard tower a few years back and a surfer was sitting on my deck. I told him he needed to get down because I was going to open. He had has wetsuit half-way peeled down and a towel around his waist, when he stood up. In the process of getting me down, he asked me if I had a band-aid. I said "Sure, what's the matter?"
Suddenly the guy went pale, it was like all the blood left his face and he instantly started getting dizzy. He was going into shock.
"Oh man!," he said. "It's really bad. It's my balls."
So I told him I need to see what he's talking about. To this day I remember this injury. What I saw was his sack, and both balls were there but one of them was split open like a grape's skin, and hanging there in it's place was a white membraneous clump. It looked like a finer version of that protective mesh that apples are packaged in. There was a little blood, but not very much, but there was some other kind of fluid dripping off of it. My first concern was cleaning the sand off of it, packaging, treating for shock and getting this guy to the hosipital. I rinsed the sack with sterile water, and then and then put a ton of guaze on the affected area. That guy was on his way to the hospital within five minutes. He ended up losing the ball I heard. We took pictures, and added it into the our book of horrors that we bring out for training on the types of injuries we encounter.
Apparently he had been surfing, and somehow in the process of falling his board flipped over and one of the fins cut his sack open.

And stuff like this is why I never could be a medical professional. I would have likely thrown up, passed out, or both if I had seen that. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
