I will never and have never used these idiots cables, first they try and sew any small business with Monster in it's name and now this! Monster Cable Claims EBay, Craigslist, Costco & Sears Are 'Rogue Sites' | Techdirt

| | | | I think it might have to do with the lifetime guarantee that comes along with the Monster cable policy. As far as I know, when your Monster cable dies, you can just walk into an authorized Monster dealership and swap it out for a new one. The company than returns the defected/damaged cable to Monster.
These rogue places are not authorized and usually when dealings are done under rogue sites/stores, it voids the warranty.

The last I heard some months ago was you had to take it to the store, fill out a form, the store would send it and the form to Monster, and if Monster approved, they would notify the store and THEN they would replace the cable. I honestly don't know how true this is though.

What you stated, about the forms, is the policy of some other cable. (Rapco maybe?) They termed it as "limited lifetime warranty"

I got one for $20something a while back, just an ordinary 15 or 20ft cable. Ive had it for about 5 years now without a single problem.
