it's a dangerous position to be in. Whenever you're the guy who "can do no wrong"... when you lose your temper, even if it's just a little bit, you're *NEVER* forgiven.

it seems like if you act like an ass from the word go, then it's always a nice surprise when you do something nice. it also seems like girls generally tend to go for the guy who is a douche.

I know a few people who would like to think so....but no one is infallible...

as far as perception tho, Scarlett Johannsen: she could make a movie about yodelling on the toilet and I'd still adore her.

I think Mon Rominee is the only one to accurately answer MMs question. I think what MM is asking is if there is someone in your life who, regardless of how often or how big they screw up, are still thought of as perfect. It's not that they actually do no wrong, it's that you don't hold anything against them when they do.

And no, I don't have anyone like that. As much as I love my friends and family, when they screw up, I hold them accountable.

My uncle. He's the black sheep in our family and everyone looks down on him in one way or another. He's been to prison, he's been hooked on every drug known to man, he has trouble keeping jobs, and he has horrible luck with women, but whenever the **** hits the fan, it's me who's there sticking up for him. He's screwed with me too, messed up bad, but I forgave him and moved on. He's the only person who can get away with such nasty **** with me.

my roommate likes to think so. He will critisize everything I do, especially financially (he is a huuuge penny pincher).

Like last week, I had the flu. I could barely walk. Then he gets on my case about not going to orchestra, something about how I am missing opportunities becasue of stuff like this, and he was sick for the first month and he didn't miss any rehearsals, blah blah blah.

all the time he acts like everything else is wrong, but he never screws up, he never does anything wrong. but he has no problem telling everyone else how wrong they are.

My sister. And, (surprise surprise), both of her children.

haha we have one guy like that here. He's a guitar player.
In Class, the teacher asked how much trouble he would get into if he threw his cell phone at his head, and the kid answered "In highschool, a teacher told me to masturbate in the hallway"

Needless to say, we didn't get the point.

My wife. I mean, literally, nearly everything she does is right. She's amazing.

I'd be toast without her.

Thus far, Warren Ellis, Joss Whedon, Terry Pratchett, and Brad Bird.

It's a short list.
