Is there anything I can do to help someone who is overly self-centered, arrogant, rude, and disrespectful?

I know several people like this and I don't know what to do to try to help them "grow up". Do you think someone with this type of attitude knows how they are perceived by others, or do you think that they are ignorant of how their actions/words make others feel?
