But over in the Netherlands.... they are cute.
They are through their salt, and they got donated some bath-salt.
I don't know how much we're speaking of. |

It is just about winding people up and not in any way about facts!

"Man, 29, in 'critical condition' after sleighing down hill on mattress in middle of night"
If he doesnt make it . . . that is one hell of a way to go!

Fact or fiction, doesn't matter, the northern hemisphere has been hit with the record breaking cold front. And it seems to last quite a while longer.
It's relatively easy for us Scandinavians as we are prepared for this kind of weather, not just this bad and not this early. The winters of the few last years have been really mild and that has fueled the "climate is getting warmer" debate. The winters have been so mild that some of the skiing resorts have actually gone bankrupt or at least have had a financial crisis.
I plain hate snow and cold and would like nothing better than the weather to get warmer, but as this cold winter shows, we don't know a squat. Or at least we don't know enough to predict what parts of the world will get warmer and what parts will get colder. For example, if Gulf Stream changes direction radically, us Scandinavians are screwed beyond belief.
On top of that, both the mild and the hard winters of the last decade or two fall well within the average data collected over only a few hundred years.
Most of the Brits I know are cool, but XtreO You're correct, some of them are cute for various reasons.
Regards

People are a bit pathetic over here though, if you ask me. Maybe the snow isn't as bad in Leeds as the rest of the country, but people seem to be making rather too much fuss about. When I went to Norway, they had just had 1.5m of snow, and life seemed to be proceeding entirely as normal.

See you at Hamley's | Hey, at least we had a decent empire in the last couple of centuries. It's been well over a thousand years since you Scandinavians did anything even vaguely manly.

You'd probably just be sleeping on the airport floor!
