I want to know how many nerds it took to write the program for this thing and how many years it took them to do it. It kind of gives me the creeps!

Creepy, yes.

But the concept of artificial balance is such a challenging technology to build and perfect. It's a miracle we can even walk upright, let alone on two limbs only. So for a robot to be able to do what this thing does....

...still won't make it fetch the damned newspaper!

Wow, that is amazing. All they need is a few sensors and some guns, then we'll almost have ourselves a terminator.

If it ever becomes self-aware, I think we're in trouble. When is that supposed to happen?? 2010?

That is great. Now all we need are robot cowbows with techno country soundtracks.

Very interesting.

The possible uses for something such as this however are absolutely terrifying to think about...

That's cool. I would like to see the RC control transmitter and how it's operated.

I'd also like to run it past my hunting buddies treestand on opening day

+1000

It reminds me more of a 'horse' than a 'dog' but at the same time, I can't help but feel that those legs look very much human. Sort of as if someone took two sets of legs and faced them in toward each other and then made a robot. The part where it (see, I almost typed they ) almost falls on the ice sent shivers up my spine.

You mean like the idea of seeing a few hundred of them scurrying across a field with automatic weapons mounted on their backs?

340 pounds worth of carrying capacity can handle a hell of a lot more than just an automatic weapon...
