I want to know how many nerds it took to write the program for this thing and how many years it took them to do it. It kind of gives me the creeps! http://gizmodo.com/368651/new-video-...ing-its-spooky

But the concept of artificial balance is such a challenging technology to build and perfect. It's a miracle we can even walk upright, let alone on two limbs only. So for a robot to be able to do what this thing does....
...still won't make it fetch the damned newspaper! |

If it ever becomes self-aware, I think we're in trouble. When is that supposed to happen?? 2010?

The possible uses for something such as this however are absolutely terrifying to think about...

I'd also like to run it past my hunting buddies treestand on opening day |

It reminds me more of a 'horse' than a 'dog' but at the same time, I can't help but feel that those legs look very much human. Sort of as if someone took two sets of legs and faced them in toward each other and then made a robot. The part where it (see, I almost typed they ) almost falls on the ice sent shivers up my spine. |
