Things to do in Atlanta?

Sign in to disble this ad
My company is sending me to Atlanta at the end of this month for some work related training. I'll be arriving early evening on Mon. Oct 24th, and staying through Thursday afternoon. I'll have from about 4:30pm til bedtime to do as I please, so whats going on?

Any TBers with a gig near Atlanta? Id be down to come check it out and have a brew with ya!

Go to the Marietta Diner. JT took me there with his wife, great food and has the old school diner vibe to it.

Atlanta is pretty sprawled out. Kind of reminds me of LA. I didn't get to do a lot of what I wanted, but there's some great food to be had in town.

Ludacris. Lil Jon. Usher. Monica. Outkast. All those guys...

EDIT: Actually, I think Outkast is from Decatur. And they're the only cool people on this list. So nevermind...

I can entertain myself for hours with free pron, or a few minutes depending on how things work out.

Vinnings is a little aways from Atlanta. It is a nice area with some decent restaurants. There is an Irish type pub behind the Quick Trip, (you'll see it) that seems to be busy all the time. You are a mile away from some really nice hiking on the Chattahoochee. A short drive into the city for tons of other stuff, if you have a car. There is usually a hockey game... wait, never mind. Hanson will be playing at the Variety while you are here! If anybody offers fried okra, just say no.

Nobody in Atlanta calls it Hotlanta, except for maybe some uncool rappers. And we do not call it The A T L either.
