Alright, so my room mate put an ad on Craigslist for drum and bass lessons in Toronto.

I just a reply today, and it seems kind of fishy.
What do you guys think??

Good day,
I'm Dr micheal from the United state i saw your advert about tutoring i really want my son to be taught by you Dan for the month of August larkin is 15 years old easily catch up i will be more than happy if you can get back to me with your charges per month i want you to teach him 2hours daily and 3 times in a week because he should be in Canada by next week Although,i understand you are in ( Canada}i will arrange for the nanny ASSOCIATE that will be taking care of him for his period of tutoring and has agreed with me,i am based in United state so you can call me on my cell phone and my method of payment will be through transfer into your account so let me know if you bank with R.B.C and get back to me with your charges and schedule for the first month because i want the lesson to start as soon as possible .
Thanks
Dr micheal
I think the biggest thing is that it's one giant sentence, and his terrible grammar.

"Transfer into your account" actually means "empty your account".

Yep. Next he'll ask for a bank account number so he can transfer the money.

Tell him "cash only" and I'm sure you wont hear back from him.

One of the clumsier attempts to defraud that I've read. Obviously trying to scam you.

a Doctor - i.e. very advanced education - with the grammatical skills of a 1st grader? That's the first hint. Then the whole transfer of funds thing. Ask for HIS social security number so you can do a background check.

Sounds a lot like the Nigerian businessmen that so kindly offer you unbelievably good opportunities to defraud their government, if only you could send them $10,000 to get started...
