Thinking about getting a GTO & got some questions

I am thinking about getting a Pontiac GTO, but my question is not about the car. What band/songs come to your mind when you think of muscle cars? Any suggestions?

Van Halen "Summer Nights" since we cruised around in my buddy's '67 Nova back in the day blasting that song.

What year of GTO?

There were a ton of muscle car songs in the mid-60's.
"409"
"GTO" (or maybe it was "my little GTO"
"Little Deuce Coupe" (not really a muscle car song)
"Dead Man's Curve"
"Little Old Lady from Pasadena"

Just a start, from memory
Also Jonathan Richmond's "Road Runner"
and that Golden Earring's "Radar Love"

Cool topic. What song comes to my mind is "Paradise by the dash board light". I owned a Pontiac Trans Am...right around the time of Smokey and the bandit and when "Bat out of hell" was released. It was a Pontiac. GTO's are Pontiac.

And by the way, the song paradise by the dashboard light was actually about me, as I did get to paradise more than a few times in that car...WHILE listening to the song.

God I was a sleaze.....

Oops, also forgot Queen's "I'm in love with my car". Not specific to any make, model, but a GREAT song.

"Told my girl I'd have to forget her....'rather buy me a new carbuerator....."

Barchetta - small Italian roadster. The song's supposedly about an old Ferrari 166S. Awesome old car, but nothing like a GTO.

1970 GTO. When Pontiac still made real cars. My friend just got it to run after working on it for a while, so he's selling it and starting to work on reviving his 69 Corvette. He's also got a 69 (I think) Mustang that he drives.

I listened to the songs list and I think most are a little mellow. I was thinking about songs that you can blast on a highway, here are some of the songs on my current playlist. Most of them are contemporary rock bands.

"Blackjack" - Airbourne
"Cochise" - Audioslave
"Word Up" - Gun
"La Grange" - ZZ Top
And most Motorhead, Guns n Roses, some Rage Against The Machines, and other random rock bands.
