How is the economy in AZ compared to TX? I read recently the Texas economy was better than most due to lower taxes and less government. Do you have a job lined up in Arizona?

More importantly, how different is Arizona from Texas? If I wanted new and different, I'd change regions.

None. NONE! Not even Indians. It's all white and Mexican here. Yet another reason everyone should avoid this place like the plague.

I'm pretty sure there's an open carry law on the books in AZ, if that's something you're interested in.

Edit: Oh and Phoenix is the kidnap capital of the world apparently as well.

Heh... that's easy... hot weather and I don't get along well. If I go to AZ, the sole purpose will be for a visit to the Heart Attack Grill.

Arizona over Texas.
Wy wife and daughters and I took a road trip last spring break to the southwest (CO, UT, AZ, NM ...) and coming back, Texas was a buzz kill with their lower speed limits, more state troopers etc.
Utah, NM and Az just had the coolest free vibe. Those are nice I don't mess with you, you don't mess with me states. Dakotas, Montana, Wyoming and Idaho too.

spent 2 years in Tucson, AZ. I liked it.

I also lived in New Mexico near the NM/TX border for several years. Never liked the Texas vibe when I went to El Paso which was every few weeks for work.

As for more state troopers, when you don't have an income tax you need to make money other ways.
