Thinking about a total up grade

OK, I'm thinking about selling every last piece of my gear to buy American made insturments. Just a complete and total up grade. I'm also thinking about just destroying my chequeings account.

my gear includes.........

Tribby G&L
MIM P-bass (upgrades)
Squier fat strat and Affinity P
Hohner les paul
fender 25 amp
Yorkville 200 watt amp

At most I know I'm looking at a grand total of $1500, if that. Am I missing the boat on this? I just feel clutterd and closed in. The fret buzz, the not staying in tune and the weak tone, will MIA make it go away?

I think I just need sleep.

American made instruments aren't always better.

I've played plenty that are horrid.

OT isn't the place to ask this.

Leave us to talk about nothing and take your "relevant question" over to those fancy shmancy basses/amps/fancyness forums.

I've not been impressed with the standard MIA fender jazz, but I did like the marcus miller MIA. Amps are a whole different can of worms..

ugh... the american fender basses I have played lately made me unhappy.

the build quality was nice, but they felt like plastic.

If you can't get your G&L Trib and MIM P to stay in tune, something's wrong. Tribbys are very good instruments, and I've played plenty of MIM Fenders that play nicer than their MIA bretheren. Seek professional help - either for instrument setup or playing technique...or both.

yup. maybe upgrade your amp to a yorkie head/cab setup. other than that, you've got a decent set of gear there. and this is off topic. shouldn't this be in basses or something?
