Third Party Credit Check

Sign in to disble this ad
Anyone here a landlord and run a third party credit check for tenants? I am going to be leasing a condo and need to run credit checks on prospective renters. However, there is no information on the Credit Bureau sites. How do you run a third party credit check?

You can go the websites for the major reporting agencies, and there you will see how to check someone else's credit. Make sure you get a signed approval from the prospective tenant(s) before you pull their credit.

Got a link? I'm just not finding it or I don't understand what they are calling it. I see nothing relating to checking a renter or third party check. Everything is about obtaining one's own credit report.

So the way to go is to completely bypass the big three and go straight to the American Apartment Owners Association. Completely user friendly.

Even the big three credit bureaus are technically third parties.

I checked this link out but it is for screening not a credit check. Screening gives info on residence, eviction, criminal history, sex offenses, telecheck, and SSN fraud.

Sorry man, you're right. I'm smoking crack. I am thinking of a different site. I think I bypassed this because IIRC you have to file out their form and wait for them to contact you and I was trying to find something more immediate.

Yeah, you do have to sign up and get legit before you can start running peoples credit and doing background checks. But hey, that is a good thing in a way.
