We have one of these at the shared workshop I use. Anyone who pops it gets charged a $150 replacement fee, but it's better than losing a finger.

The shop is milking people then, because replacement cost is only about $60.

dont forget the cost of the blade. some of the blades are quite pricey.

My school's shop has one of those, some kid purposely set it off 2 days in a row. That combined with other things he had done got him expelled.
