Ground: general tso's Chicken, chop suey and crab rangoons followed up with a big mess o' fortune cookies. Over.
Mission: Launch in 3....2.....1.... we have liftoff.
Shuttle: (sound of partying and a canned, carbonated drink being opened) Liftoff successful. It's beautiful up here. You can see everything. I assure you we are in space. Right now we're parked on Saturn's rings. Chan is juggling moon rocks. I can pee in bubbles.
Mission: The gymnasts are 16.
Shuttle: Roger. | So as you can see there is no doubt.

News outlets do this in order to be able to "break" stories first. IE - if you have something pre-prepared so if it all goes according to plan, you just "click" the button and the stories released. It makes you look great.
It was just someone too fast on the trigger is all, no conspiracies. Not that I wouldn't put it past the Chinese gov't, but this really isn't news at all.

Right, but canned stories are generic - this one was a fabrication.

It's just a story that had been prepared ahead of time, and presumably accidentally published a couple days early.
Articles being published early isn't thta uncommon, probably a rookie in the department messing things up by accident.

This whole story was pre-fabbed to be released as "new" news. The same as we do here albiet with a little less BS, but there have been a few nice slip-ups here as well.
It's silly and perfectly illustrates how the Chinese media may work, but certainly not a govt conspiracy to fake the launch and project.
keeping up on this side...keeping up

keeping up on this side...keeping up | Right. That's why this is all a "given".
It's about a communist govt. intention of reporting a glowing account of their technological achievment...regardless of how it actually turned out. That's what makes this laughable.

It just did happen to end that way, as well.
