First off, I'd like to say thanks again for the help.
I got my test grade back today. I got a 77%. In any other class that would be a C, but in the math one's its a D. Fortunately, my overall grade in the class is an 80% so I'm teetering right at C.
Thanks to your help I did better on it than I initially thought I was going to, but not as good as I thought. I thought I got at least an 80%, but I was in the ball park I suppose.

In every other class offered the grading scale is: 60-69 = D, 70-79=C, 80-90=B, 90-100=A
The way they work the math is, 70-79=D, I forget what B's and C's are, but I do know that you need to score 94-100 to get an A. In all courses D's are considered a failing grade, you get no credit for the course and have to retake it.
To even qualify to take the exit exam I need an 80% or better final grade. To pass the exit exam I only need to score at least a 70%. I find this aspect of things a bit harsh as well.

Even at ERAU our grading wasn't that harsh, and we basically compete with MIT for top engineering school. Our A was 92-100, B was 84-92, C was 75-83, 66-74 was D.
Regardless... at least you're hanging in there with a C . How much time do you have left to improve the 80%? |

Later edit: I noticed I botched up the grade criteria for the A. It's 94-100, not 96-100. Still a bit harsh though.

The great thing is that the rules are very consistent; there are very few exceptions (see: divide by zero) unlike English and chemistry.
Lots of practice, be meticulous, and show your work and you'll be fine. If you have the time, work problems back wards or substitute in real numbers to check your answers.
