Thoughts from the service industry

I work in a call center, meaning I have headphones on ten hours a day. I just farted, and it sucks because I can't tell how loud it was with the headphones and some customer complaining.

It occurred to me while I was trying to figure out if I need to hide under the desk that us used and abused customer service people have interesting problems sometimes.

Pretty much the same thing that's going on with your job. Headset strapped to my skull? Check. Noxious odor in cubicle? Check. Co-workers afraid to see what the hell is going on in here? Check.

I am a dept unto myself, but it sounds kinda similar......

I dont have headphones, so I like to hear how loud it is and wonder if the person to either side of me has heard. Then I laugh.
