on a 7 speed pedal bike. Yep, thats right. doing 55 in a 50 after landing a huge drop. I ran right by a speed trap, I almost was gunna leg it and run, but instead I stopped.
Apparently, since I past him on a road, I had to obey all rules of the road, even though I'dda wrecked myself if i used any brakes. So now I got a 40$ ticket for speeding. I'll happliy pay, and frame the ticket, because thats just badass. Though, I am kinda perplexed why the cop did it, ahwell, 40$ and no points. Wicked.
So thats how my day went, how was yours? |

All the guys I was with chipped in to cover to ticket, I only payed 8$ I think, Either way. I think this was a memoriable day in my biking career. |

M | A bike that you're comfortable on, and is very reliable is a key componet in these kinds of ventures. |

I credit the nice working of the locals on the landing of the drop to giving me the speed. That was a 15 foot drop to a nice smooth tranni, which happened to go straight for the road
smperry - I wish it were in MPH, I was rocking that in KM/h. So I was hitting about 35. |

I've found that when you get over 50mph on a road bike wearing nothing but lycra and a helmet, your concentration gets REALLY focused. I've also found that bumping shoulders, elbows, and hips in a tight pack of riders at 35mph can be a good thrill. |

He framed the ticket and it's on a wall next to one of his trophies.

I think the highest I've gone was 42mph or so, but I only do that on a road I really know well. A few weeks back, I was climbing a hill with the High Gear team and we did 31mph up a hill, although that's in the pelaton and with the wind to our back.
Still, frame that puppy! I've always kinda hoped I'd get pulled over for speeding for bragging rights. |

The part from the top of Little Mtn. into Emigration is fun too, but some of those drivers up there are nuts.

If I feel brave I will go up Little Cottonwood Canyon, but it's 10.5 miles up at a 10.5% average grade ! That's bigger than the Alpe D'Huez in the Tour de France!
My brother got the ticket in Sardine Canyon, up near Logan.

Totally possible, but very difficult.
