As usual, Johnny Depps character looks absolutely ridiculous...sigh.

I wish they would make his costumes more true to the origional , but thats Burton for you.

Which original are you referring to?

From the book? It was written word open to visual interpretation, IMO.

If it's Burton, it will be trippy. You can bet on that.

I read Pete Wentz and Mark Hoppus are collaborating for a song on the sound track.

The original:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mad_Hatter

Seems the orginal was just as absurd as Burton's interpretation. Oversized head, oversized polka-dot bowtie...

I saw the preview in IMAX 3D and it looks cool. I will be seeing it. Johnny Depp is in my Top 10 favorite actors.

This is not the original Alice in Wonderland youre thinking about at all. From what Ive gathered, this story involves an older teenaged Alice returning to Wonderland and isnt exactly the Alice in Wonderland that we all know. Still though, Im looking forward to it. I generally like Tim Burton movies and Johnny Depp is a great character actor. It should be interesting to say the least.

I wonder if Burton ever played American McGee's Alice?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_McGee's_Alice

"Shortly after her second adventure, Alice's house is burned down by an accidental fire, killing her family, and leaving her as the only survivor. Due to her survivor's guilt, she tries to commit suicide (bandages can be seen on her wrists), and becomes catatonic. She is institutionalized in Rutledge Asylum, where she remains insane and is consistently mistreated by the workers. Ten years later, the White Rabbit summons Alice to aid a radically altered Wonderland, which became a twisted version of itself as it came under the despotic rule of the Queen of Hearts. The Cheshire Cat serves as Alice's companion throughout the game, frequently appearing to guide her with cryptic comments."

I think it's going to be great. Tim Burton is really talented. I don't remember having been disappointed by one of his movies

I believe at one point someone was supposed to make an adaptation of this, but it fell to the wayside. Tim Burton's Alice does seem to be in a darker vein, somewhat akin to McGee's game, but I dont think it follows that storyline so much.
