time to change cell phones. . .

Sign in to disble this ad
my current phone is on its last leg. i think i can get it to last me through the end of the month maybe a little longer if i am lucky and careful, the thing is pretty much taped and glued back together.

not abused just a cheap phone with a prepaid plan. im thinking about ditching prepaid and going with a more traditional plan with a contract and possibly a smartphone of some kind.

my budget is <$70 for a month and in all honesty i dont talk much.

i wont be using the phone as an mp3 player.
streaming music is likely and perhaps the occasional youtube video. however most of the time i have my laptop with me. but it needs replacing too.

would you guys help bring me into the 21st century with my gadgetry?

I believe there are a number of companies with plans that are only $50 a month or unlimited talk, text, and web. Metro PCS, and Boost Mobile. I think T-Mobile has one now as well.

The reliable ones no longer have unlimited data plans, so keep that in mind.

I dont find them all that reliable here, myself. I just know that theyre affordable. They seem to work alright on a general level, but not quite so much in the foothills, where I reside.

True. But "almost everyplace" (Caribou Coffee, Starbucks, etc) has free wireless. I personally never realized how much I needed an iPhone until I got one. (Check out deals for 3G refurb Iphones at AT&T as an example). I use it to tune up, can practice with it (with a $30 adaptor & a headset/earphones), etc.
