Tips for dating someone possibly out of my league?

Sign in to disble this ad
Here's my obligatory life story/help thread. Woohoo.
I've recently become friends with a friend of mine from elementary school via facebook. I had a crush on her (this is when I was 8 or so haven't seen her in over 10 years) and apparently so did she. We've talked for a while, and she invited me down for her bday weekend next weekend

Normally, I'd have no issues with this, but looking at her facebook pics, she's insanely beautiful. I think I'm decent looking myself, I'm popular with the ladies and all, but I'm no model like she is. Any tips for situations like this? I'm just thinking..she's the one who confessed to liking me (then and now) and invited me to see her, so I must have something going for me off the bat right?

And no, I'm not going to post pics right now..

Grow a pair and believe in yourself. Girls find confidence (not arrogance) atractive.

I know, I'm not saying I'm not confident. I am. Never arrogant.

Then you're good to go. If you can forget about the league concept and just go for it, you'll be ok. Women put less emphasis on looks in a partner than men do (a generalization, I know, YMMV).

When you go: smell good, dress for the occasion, speak well, listen more than talk, be friendly, and ask for a date (gotta close the deal).

I would compare this to being the guy at the intersection that's holding up traffic & ticking everyone else off.

How long does the light have to be green before you start moving?

You owe Stumbo a beer after this post.

Its more about attitude then looks if you're not a yeti.

Thanks. If you're in the area lemme know and I'll get you that beer.

The DIAB comment made me laugh

Here is a picture where she still has a decent amount of clothes on, and the one I see myself getting in the least amount of potential trouble for. She has others that are a bit more raunchy.

If the confident, positive attitude thing isn't working, switch to begging. Oh- and obnoxious persistence can pay off, too.
