Are you going to watch titanic 3d &/or star wars 3d in theaters?
They have the technology to turn any previous film into a 3D film. I've seen a sample of Pete Jackson's King Kong in 3D--t.rex vs. king kong fight. It was nuts. Dark Knight would be good in 3D.
I look forward to Star Wars New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, & Return of the Jedi in 3D. The others not so much w/ exception of the pod race in ep. 1.
Titanic, don't know, but I imagine out of the billion people who watched Titanic, maybe a third will go back for 3d experience. |

Titanic might though...

Titanic might though... | Star Wars episode 1 is being done first (unfortunately), then the others, in episode order.
Titanic is scheduled to show Spring 2012.
I imagine film studios will go back into their catalogs & do their blockbusters in 3d. Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park. Perhaps. |

Not at all interested in throwing more money at it just because they've taken a movie I've seen before and made it 3D.

No one is going to convince me I need to see a 30 year old SW movie in 3D, and pay again for the experience. I paid as muc as I need to to get just the original theatrical version on DVD...and it's not 100%, but as close as I can remember it on my VHS copy. Albeit prettier. That's enough. I don't even know how Lucas can justify BluRay conversion on it. Beyond sheer greed (duh)
3D is also, as been said, the most played out resurgence ever. I simply get more jazzed when a movie comes out that ISN'T in 3D.
the fact that so many companies (most notably SONY, who is staking their future on it) are hyping this as the new standard, following so close on the heels of everyone adopting finally BluRay is such a freakin waste. There simply is not enough QUALITY content out there to justify adopting yet another format. Nor will there be in the forseable future. I've seen 90% lame duck 3D come out the past 4 years...not a whole lot of quality.

Though, 3D Star Wars sounds decent.

I hate it when that makes a good movie seem really cheesy. Like if they did Jurassic Park, I loved that movie. Not the best but its enjoyable. 3d would make it so cheesy :/
