I happened to be watching the Colbert Report the other night and saw America's sweetheart, Mr. Toby Keith playing his new song live on the show...

"Made in America" is the song he's playing...

on his TAKAMINE GUITAR
(which is NOT "Made in America")

Made me smile

I just checked out a live you tube vid and he is playing a Takamine
That is just wrong singing that song while playing that guitar.

I am ashamed he is from my state. But it does speak greatly for how well they teach "special needs" children here in the panhandle state...

TK is just awful. I consider him a war profiteer. I sometimes have to do his tunes when subbing for other bands, but he will never be on any setlist I have any say in.

Takamine Guitars: Artists: Toby Keith

My old man’s that old man
Spent his life livin’ off the land
Dirty hands and a clean soul
It breaks his heart seein’ foreign cars
Filled with fuel that isn’t ours
And wearin’ cotton we didn’t grow

He’s got the red, white, blue
Flyin’ high on the farm
Semper fi tattooed on his left arm
Spend a little more in the store for a tag
In the back that says “USA”

He won’t buy nothin’ that he can’t fix
With WD-40 and a Craftsman wrench
He ain’t prejudice, he’s just
Made in America

Good lyrics but he needs to look at the back of his guitar's headstock

In all fairness, the song's about his (or someone's) dad.
But still...

My stepdaughter loves to rail against the senseless slaughter of animals...while wearing leather shoes.

Almost as pathetic as a vegetarian who is one only because it makes a good excuse to complain about the pervasive lack of sensitivity to their nutritional needs.

It's not senseless slaughter of the animal if you are utilizing all the parts of the animal, which is most likely the case here. Eat the meat, tan the hide, stew the bones, and the offal makes bologna.

Toby Keith is the "dumb jock" type of country artist. In fact, he's the poster child and the president of the movement. Not a single sincere cell in that douche's body...the embodiment of a "cash in". In the 80's he woulda been a hair metal artist or a synth popper. And not because he paticularly liked it.

Of course the Japanese guitar painted with the American flag would have been a much better choice for this video!
