Yep, I'm getting old. Music is too loud now, kids carrying on and playing irritates me, people speeding on the freeway agitates me, and so on.

Maybe once I get my own fan club, it will help make me feel younger.

Overall, the Metal Gear Solid series is 1000x better imo, but Splinter Cell has its moments. Splinter Cell multiplayer ftw.

I thought it was fairly enjoyable and appreciated having a stealth game that I hadn't played out entirely, like the Thief games. However it's much too linear.

I could never take MGS seriously, haha. Was a bit of fun though.

This is the main reason that makes me dislike it. I didn't even finish it.
There's only one way to success, only one path you can take and only one method.
I much prefer Thief or Hitman.

Chaos Theory was my favorite.

And yes, Hitman is an awesome series

I've never played the game, but I've read all of the books. Not exactly Pulitzer Prize reading, but they are entertaining...

I loved all of these Splinter Cell games. A few were better than others, but all in all they all were great!

Play them on hard where you can not kill anyone, allow any bodies to be found, or be seen. Fun stuff!

I enjoyed the 1st and 2nd one. The rest gave you too many crutches to make the game easier (remote hacking, save anywhere, etc. etc.) and not enough bonafide uses for the numerous rifle attachments (you can finish the game without ever using a remote or gas camera for example)

Some of the stuff the dude was really good at didn't work so well in real life. I was never able to sneak stealthily all the way through a nuclear power plant without having to kill at least one person. I could on the game, real life was impossible.

Splinter Cell was a good game series but I have to say that nothing beats walking through crowded streets dressed like a giant chicken w/ a sniper rifle. Hitman ftw

yeah, thats the first shooter game i liked other than half-life. i'd much rather sneak around than running around shooting people with rpg's...
