Could just be a coincidence, but I know of a lot of people in the Detroit area who make a living pouring concrete...

If I were you I'd try to see if they could do up a chambered body somehow, I know it goes without saying, but that **** is HEAVY.

I remember back in the 70s reading in an old issue of Guitar Player magazine about a guy who made a guitar with a granite body. He said that is was almost unplayable due to the weight but that notes sustained forever! Probably would have needed a special stand like the one Alex Lifeson uses for his acoustic guitars.

Somehow, I don't think just plain old concrete would have much in the way of sustain...
