Tonight Was One of the Best Nights of My Life

My first gig. My band teacher hosted a little gig thing at the Ragin Cajun (Cajun Restaurant) with one of his bands headlining and the school band playing some songs along with some bands of kids at the school. So me and some friends played "Can't Stop" by Red Hot Chili Peppers and this was my first time to play in a band like this in front of a bunch of strangers on bass... I mean it was just awesome i feel like typing this all out. And I got a bunch of cheer during the guitar solo (guitar lacked a little in volume and sustain so mainly bass stuck out. It was just pure awesome and I'm so happy right now.

Many more to come. Keep practicing. I wish I played when I was your age. I didnt pickup the bass til I was 32. I wouldn't let anything get in the way of completing my degree... and being in a band would have. I'm now 36. At your age you can get damn good before your're 21... with LOTS of practice.

When you get really good you can play for top dollar and make better music with better musicians than hacks like me.

I'm addicted to playing live, been afflicted with the obsession for many, many years.

Don't fight it, there is no known cure.

(nor is anybody working on it)
