"The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" Returns

Anyone watch it last night? It was mildly amusing but IMO:
1. Not as funny as Conan
2. Not as good as he was before he left

I don't know what's changed...maybe it's my perception, or maybe it's just a decline in writing for whatever reason. But I don't see myself enjoying it.
I'll be waiting for Conan's new show, hoping there will be one. For now,

I thought it sucked and Jamie Foxx was not funny at all. I turned it off and played some Madden NFL 10

I remember when Leno was first getting TV time as a standup comic, and he wasn't funny back then either. I'll grant that some of his writers may have written a few funny gags over the years, but not all that many, and not enough to make The Chin worth a minute of my time.

i don't get it......why all the gnashing of teeth over poor conan.....he got 35 million bucks to walk away,and he has not been starving all these years.........tv shows get cancelled all the time......personally i wouldn't watch any talk show even if they shot it in my living room

I was disappointed by the outcome of the big scuffuffle but I'm trying not to dwell on that.

Having said that, if CoCo pops up on Fox, I'll definitely be leaning that way.

It's not that I feel he was thrown on the streets or anything. To me it's just the principle of being given the "job of a lifetime" and then having it taken away before being given adequate time to prove yourself completely. Jay wasn't number 1 in the first 7 month, so why was it expected of Conan?

Nobody will say Conan didn't hey enough money. But I still prefer him.

You would think for all the hype he would have at least front-loaded the first week with "I could actually give a damn" guests. Sorry, as much as I like Shawn White, he's not a compelling interview.

Yeah, Jay's show got canceled, yet he is still the one that ended up being the host of Late Night. Talk about rewarding a guy for failing. Not to mention that the whole switch over was in writing so they wouldn't end up with something stupid happening like they did when Jay originally took over. Jay is washed up and old, he should have tried pitching a car show in the style of Top Gear.

i know all that,but so what.....the guys that are betting their fortunes decided to go with leno.....that happens in tv and film all the time.....skeet ulrich probably wanted to be brad pitt,but you don't always get everything you want,especially when someone else is paying the bill.....thats show biz.....life ain't always fair......jeez people are losing their jobs and homes all over the place and and you're worried about conan....

I'm not worried about him at all, I just really enjoyed his show and I have never enjoyed Leno's show and Conan got screwed over. I am disappointed that I can't watch Conan anymore, that is it.

Not interested in Leno. Wasn't before, am less so now. Used to be a Letterman fan but I don't watch that much anymore either. Conan and Ferguson are pretty funny.
